Mrs. Chelsey McNeil
BA Music-Piano Pedagogy I got my degree in Music with an emphasis in Piano Pedagogy from Trinity International University, and have extensive collaborative piano experience in both school and university settings. As a soprano, I have sung as a soloist in a variety of concert and theatrical settings, as well as in many choral ensembles, including Doctoral Recitals at Indiana University and Yale University. I enjoy singing in church and home. I am eager to help students learn to play and sing in a friendly, nurturing environment. Students in my studio work towards freedom and fluency in their instrument of choice, so making music becomes an extension of who they are. David and I met in college and have shared our love of music throughout our life together. We love working together in choral music, and teaching together in Nota Bene. We are the proud parents of five children, whom we homeschool. On the side I enjoy quilting, homemaking, and exploring the great outdoors here in Colorado. |
Dr. David McNeil, Jr.

After completing my music education degree and teaching certification, I taught k-12 music and drama for five years in the Chicago area. From 2013-2018, I worked on graduate degrees in conducting from Indiana University and Yale University, completing my doctoral coursework in 2018, and finishing my degree summer 2022. I moved to Denver in 2018 to take become Assistant Professor of Music - Director of Choral Studies at Colorado Christian University. Currently, I also direct the Vittoria Ensemble of Denver, and serve as the choir director at Rockland Community Church. As a private teacher, my goal is to help students of all ages grow in their love of music, whether playing or singing, as they learn to enjoy the steady development of musical craft. I firmly believe that music study is beneficial to all, in whatever form, as a primary expression of our humanity.
